A LITTLE ABOUT ME

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Everyone experiences difficult times at some point, and therapy can be a place to make sense of what is happening and decide what comes next. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples from a wide range of cultural identities. Many of the people who seek me out want support with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, multicultural issues, or a major life transition.

Clients often say they feel held and seen while being supportively challenged. I work from a social justice, liberation-oriented, and trauma-informed lens, and provide culturally affirming and responsive therapy that is tailored to the individual. Rather than applying a single formula, I integrate different therapeutic approaches and settle on a pace and direction with you that fit your goals.

I’m licensed in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and New York, and I also teach clinical psychology at The George Washington University and The Chicago School.

The concerns I see most often in my practice.

INTEGRATIVE CARE, SHAPED AROUND YOU

HOW I PRACTICE

I draw from several approaches, not a single model.

I have advanced training in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, cognitive processing therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and short-term psychodynamic therapy.

Which of those we use and how much depends on you.

We set the focus together. You decide what matters most, and we adjust as things change.

01

Culture and history count. What you have been through and where you come from shape what we do together.

02

Short-term or long-term. Some work is brief and goal-directed. Some is slower and more exploratory.
