GETTING STARTED
What to expect before we begin
Start with a free 20-minute consultation. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to anything.
Current availability
A pause in new appointments
Please note I am not accepting new clients at this time.
I’ll be taking leave from late November 2026 through February 2027 and expect to reopen my practice in the spring. If you would like me to reach out when I have openings, send me a message.

How do I make an appointment?
THE FIRST STEP
Send a message through the
contact form.
I'll reply with times for a
free 20-minute consultation.
If it feels like a fit, you schedule a
first full session.
Do you accept insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider and not on insurance panels. A superbill is available on request if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
INSURANCE & REIMBURSEMENT
-
Working outside insurance panels can offer greater privacy. Continued care does not have to be justified to an insurer, and treatment decisions remain between you and your therapist. A diagnosis is only included when you request a superbill for reimbursement.
-
Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask:
Does my plan include out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and how much of it remains?
After the deductible, what percentage of the allowed amount is reimbursed?
Is a referral or preauthorization required?
How do I submit a superbill, and are telehealth sessions eligible?
-
A superbill is a detailed receipt for sessions you have already paid for. It includes the information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim: my license and NPI numbers, the dates we met, service codes, a diagnosis code, and what you paid. You submit it directly, and your insurer reimburses you at whatever rate your plan allows. I can prepare one monthly or at whatever interval works for you.
Billing & fees
How payment works
Fees are comparable to the D.C. and N.Y.C. markets and are commensurate with psychologists of similar training and experience.
Your fee covers more than the time in session. It also includes documentation, professional consultation, and treatment planning between appointments.
Reduced-fee availability
A portion of my caseload is reserved for reduced-fee clients. When those spaces are full, I'm glad to offer referrals to trusted colleagues.
Ways to pay
Payment is accepted by credit card, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

Service codes
Your insurer may ask which of these applies. The place of service code depends on your location during the session.
A few practical notes
Email is not a secure form of communication and should be used for administrative purposes only.
Submitting a form does not create a patient-therapist relationship.
All sessions are currently offered through secure telehealth.
